Chef Josh Lee is an award-winning and a 2022 James Beard Foundation Restaurateur semi-finalist as well as a guest chef for the PGA Tour The Championship.

Chef is known for his creative and mouth-watering dishes rooted in Soul & Southern Cooking. Prior to his time with The Soulful Company Restaurant Group, Lee was the Executive Chef of Superica as well as the famed and award winning Chicken+Beer inside the Atlanta Airport. Lee has garnered much acclaimed press from places such as Eater Atlanta, V-103, and The Washington Post. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Lee discovered his calling to the food world from growing up with a mother and grandmother who taught him all they knew about delicious Southern cooking. It was his first job as a part-time server that showed him his passion for the industry, and he very quickly began to explore every element of the restaurant, working in every aspect from the kitchen to the bar. He went on to gain experience in kitchens and management positions from sports bars to multi-million dollar arenas to Atlanta favorites such as Delia’s Chicken Sausage Stand before joining Max Lager’s Wood-Fired Grill & Brewery as Executive Chef. It was here that he brought his well-rounded experience and industry knowledge to the forefront. Chef Josh’s creativity, ability to develop flavorful and satisfying cuisine, and his quest for guest satisfaction made him an indispensable asset to Max Lager’s and helped him take second place in the Taste of Atlanta food festival competition.

Chef Josh is an active member of the Dekalb County community, working with local programs at the YMCA of Metro Atlanta and the Boys & Girls Club.. Lee resides in Dekalb County with his wife and three children.
